Cayman Blog

Cayman Blog is my diary about Grand Cayman. It...

* lets you know whenever any new Web pages appear on Grand Cayman Wanderer

* leads you to some of our favorite pages that you might otherwise miss

Too much to do and too little time to do it in -- that’s the story of my life these days. Between work, family, home and website, I’m kept busy, which is why this blog has been running for a month without a word from me on it. This is the word from me.

The blog is intended to keep you up-to-date on all things Grand Cayman Wanderer, new pages added or pages updated. Lately, the new pages have been to:

• Provide larger size photos than those on the main pages where they would get in the way of the text if they were full-size

• Correct earlier mistakes or oversights. As a newbie ‘webmaster’ I notice I’ve made a lot of those over the past year.

Authoring a website provides a whole new insight into how the world works. For instance, I notice my readership is generally lower on weekends than during the week. Even though I get visitors from all around the globe and some of the weekend swings should be smoothed out, it’s still there. [My suggested solution, have us all move to a seven day work week, wasn’t popular with the small survey I tested it on:)]

Another interesting thing I’ve learned is how ‘world wide’ the world-wide-web really is. Grand Cayman Wanderer has visitors from everywhere, including other small idyllic islands like the Seychelles {Hello Seychelles}. The internet is truly an amazing place. When in the past could people connect the way we can now?

To subscribe to my Grand Cayman Wanderer blog (no e-mail necessary), right-click on the orange RSS button (see bottom buttons to the left) and then paste the URL into your RSS reader. Or click on the My Yahoo! button or My MSN or Add To Google button if you keep a personalized home page there.
