Hotel Cayman Islands

Hotel Cayman Islands is the second of my hotels’ pages, separating these facilities from resorts to make it easier for you to know what you’re getting.

And, once you’ve read about the Grand Cayman hotels, at the bottom of the page you’ll find a Hotel Search Box so you can go right in and book the hotel you’ve selected.

As on Grand Cayman Hotels, the cut-off line is that these are hotels with less than 50 rooms. Anything more than that and you’ll find it on the Resorts page.

Hotel Cayman Islands – West End

Grand Caymanian Resort in the Safehaven area of the West End is handy for the golf course, has 54 rooms, which is above our ‘line’ but close enough so I’m including it here (shouldn’t be too pedantic about these things).

Caribbean Club Resort was recently voted #1 at TripAdvisor for small hotels on Seven Mile Beach. It’s on West Bay Road so it’s also handy for all the other attractions and activities of the West End, such as Hell and the Dolphin Discovery. Visit them here for more details.

Seven Mile Beach Resort & Club has 38 rooms and is on West Bay Road and is another hotel nicely placed for the West End lifestyle.

Sunshine Suites, West Bay, Grand Cayman

Sunshine Suites off Esterley Tibbetts Highway in West End is in a great location and a fine budget hotel. It has a restaurant, Sunshine Grill, that people visit even if they aren’t staying there, which is always a good recommendation in my opinion, and a pool.

The hotel is just a short walk to Seven Mile Beach, though you have to cross busy West Bay Road to get there. Access to the beach is almost directly across the road from the hotel’s West Bay Road entrance. They have bicycles for guests to use, which is great for touring the West Bay area. A cycle ride to Barker’s Park will take 20 – 30 minutes, for example. Cycling into George Town about 30 minutes — just look out for traffic if you go that way.

Sunshine Grill, Sunshine Suites, Grand Cayman

The full-size North Sound Golf course is nearby for the days when you don’t want to go to the beach and, being in the West End, it’s handy for all the night life and attractions such as the Turtle Farm and Swimming with Dolphins.

As well, there are plenty of shops nearby, including food stores to pick up groceries should you want to eat in your suite.
